The Vitality Village, located in the heart of the Sunshine Coast health and wellbeing precinct in Birtinya, recently welcomed another important provider to the building, 121 Care.

121 Care seeks to improve the quality of life and empower those in the community living with disability and will be joining Vitality Village which opened last month, bringing together some of the region’s brightest minds and businesses in a $25 million collaborative project championed by community services organisation Be and the Double R Group.

121 Care co-Chief Executives, Kym Chomley and Feda Adra say the move is an exciting one as the organisation seeks to collaborate more for the benefit of staff and clients.

“What attracts us is the opportunity to work with other organisations, to support each other and create synergies that is innovative and will make a real difference to our community. We’re really interested in exploring the chance to link up with the other Villagers so our clients can have access to a wider range of services,” Kym and Feda said.

“121 Care have 180 staff and about 25 will work in the Village. We outgrew  our previous premises in Maroochydore and we look forward to now being at the Vitality Village where we are closer to collaborators and other service providers that complement our services.

“We are also excited by the prospect of sharing this new space with our clients as well, as we have a number of initiatives involving them that we’re looking to launch later in the year.”
