Respiratory and sleep services are set for a positive shakeup on the Sunshine Coast with leading provider Sunshine Coast Respiratory and Sleep to move into new local health and well-being precinct Vitality Village.

Sunshine Coast Respiratory and Sleep’s Dr Tim Baird says a team of 12 including doctors, specialists and administrative staff will open their clinic in the $25 million collaborative health and wellbeing precinct.

“Our ambition is to create a compassionate and comprehensive respiratory and sleep health service for the Sunshine Coast community,” Tim said.

“Moving into the Vitality Village will help us to grow and achieve our longer term goal of providing a one-stop shop for sleep and respiratory specialist services.

“It’s great to have the opportunity to be part of an entity with a broader vision focused on the overall health and wellbeing of the entire region.

“Being surrounded by like-minded individuals with diverse health and non-health backgrounds will allow us to foster and further improve our business and patient care delivery model.

“As Village tenants we are looking forward to collaborating both clinically and through ongoing research for the greater good of our patients and the Sunshine Coast community.

“We are extremely excited about having the chance to be involved with a novel health entity and are very much looking forward to seeing Vitality Village continue to grow.”

“Villagers such as Sunshine Coast Sleep and Respiratory will bring a unique clinical perspective to how we unify to identify and address some of the community’s leading health and wellbeing concerns,” said Vitality Village Manager, Lisa Ward.

“By bringing such a diverse collection of businesses and industries to the Village, we can develop solutions and programs collaboratively that consider the complexity of proactive health and wellbeing.”
